Festival center in Amare (spuiplein 150) – Saturday October 14 to Saturday October 21, 2023 from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.

All week long, Amare is the heart of Festival de Enchantment, with free performances, workshops and many more activities. Walk in, get music from everyday things and be surprised by acrobats and jugglers. You won't be bored for a moment here!
All activities are free, but a voluntary contribution is of course very welcome and can be done on site.

The Music Factory (De MuziekFabriek)(6+)

Are you participating? Freek+Eric's Music Factory is waiting for your help!

Are you 6 years or older and ready for a musical adventure? Imagine creating an enchanting instrument with your own supplies. Bring along that old frying pan from your father, those clothespins from your grandmother, or the stuffed animal from the past (yes, some stuffed animals can make music!). Hand them in and let them be part of something big: The Music Factory.
Together with you, we will spend a week building an enormous musical factory, filled with sounds from every nook and cranny. Ultimately, De MuziekFabriek, under the guidance of The Hague designer Pink Steenvoorden, grows into a factory of no less than 30 meters!

You can help build every day from 12 to 1 p.m. And from 1-2 and 3-4 p.m. the factory is open for adventurous voyages of discovery and exciting workshops.

So, grab your old stuff and come to De MuziekFabriek in Amare. Together we will create a musical spectacle that will enchant the entire city.

FREE FINAL CONCERT: on Saturday, October 21 at 3 p.m., percussion company La Maquina will perform the final concert in De MuziekFabriek in collaboration with the Royal Conservatoire. We work with African shabars, Cuban congas, Indian tablas and with all parts of the now 30 meter long Music Factory. You really don't want to miss this!

Does shadow have a life of its own? And how does it move when you sleep? In this special workshop that artist Lotte Verweij developed especially for De Bewitching, you can even discover what your shadow does when... you sleep!
The workshop can be followed continuously. So come by and don't forget to bring your shade!

Have you completed your own shadow figure? There is a shade house where you can play with your shadow. What happens if you hold your shadow figure in front of the lamp? Let your shadow dance, jump, grow and shrink in the light.

The story without end (5+)

This workshop by artist Shardenia Felicia brings together fantasy, story and textiles in a tent where you can all sit together, where you can listen to a special story and where we ultimately share a piece of the story and the tent together. to make.

The Taartrovers playground (2+)
Saturday October 14 to Saturday October 21, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Four installations form a coherent lab in which you can do your own research. The installations hardly need any explanation: you can easily see what you can do with them. The children use their creativity in making their own images, movements, colors, sounds and stories.

A maximum of 20 children can be in the installations at the same time.

RuSSSThut
This year our new RuSSSThut will have a place in the festival center. If you have had enough of all the stimuli around you, feel free to retreat to the RuSSSThut. A quiet place with noise-dampening headphones, eye masks and a large cushion. It is the place where you can escape the hustle and bustle of the festival center and completely relax.

12.00 and 14.00 Hip-Hop extravaganza with the Hague HipHop Center (6+)
Participate in an exciting breakdance and hip-hop workshop, guided by the Heavy Hitters (the talented teachers and students of the Hague HipHop Center). You can participate, but watching is also fun! WIRWAR Productions presents: BONJE. A humorous circus theater performance for the whole family. Full of recognizable situations about arguing, bickering, kissing, quarreling and bickering.
