First Theater Performances Announced for the 25th Edition of Festival de Betovering!
Spooky Autumn Break from Friday, October 25th to Saturday, November 2nd

On Friday, October 25th, the 25th edition of the children's art festival De Betovering kicks off. It’s going to be a spooky festival because both Halloween and Día de Muertos fall during the autumn break this year!

Magical and colorful theater performances are once again the main thread of the program for children aged 0 to 12. The first performances of the jubilee edition are announced and will go on sale this week at Korzo and HNT. The internationally touring Doble Mandoble (BE) opens the festival on October 25th and 26th with Full HD (7+) at Theater aan het Spui: a science fiction show full of visual effects, magic, and acrobatics (Dutch premiere).
At Korzo in The Hague's Prinsestraat, fantastic performances are lined up this year! Bring the little ones to Club Wauw with Tent (1+), an interactive colorful discovery journey. In KORROL (4+) by the Belgian creators Grensgeval, the audience sits in the middle of the performance. Get ready for drumming blocks, a petrified acrobat, and dancing concrete! The100Hands presents Out of The Box (6+), a physical and acrobatic site-specific performance for young and old from a life-sized box that you can view from all sides. The audience is involved in the performance in an informal manner, which takes place both in and 'out of the' box.

DE BETOVERING AT THEATER AAN HET SPUI and de Koninklijke Schouwburg
At Theater aan het Spui, enjoy the spectacular piece FOON by doFt & Piet van Dycke. In FOON  (6+), you follow three telephone operators who constantly transfer calls and thereby risk losing themselves. Maas theater en dans also brings their fresh new show to the festival. PRRRT PRRRT FLAP FLAP (3+) is a comedic performance about two bird watchers looking for a lucky bird. Nature, of course, cannot be commanded... With the creators of De Grote mensen, we celebrate the colorful 'Día de Muertos' on the Mexican holiday with Skeletje (5+). At the Koninklijke Schouwburg, Theater Artemis presents the stimulating and wondrous new show De (8+).

On September 1st, the full Betovering program will be online, with around 400 activities throughout The Hague: performances, workshops, street theater, and mini-festivals in four neighborhoods. Keep an eye on the website and social media for the best autumn break in The Hague.
