Workshop with museum visit: Turkish marbling

Did you know that the tulip is not typically Dutch, but originally comes from Turkey? You can still see the beautiful tulip patterns in the ancient Turkish marbling art. Paint is dripped onto thickened water and beautiful figures are made with sticks and combs. When the design is ready, a print is made on paper. Only the best Turkish marble makers can make a real tulip. Maybe you can do it too??

TIP: wear old clothes that are allowed to get dirty.
