De Betovering is going completely crazy this year!

Mark your calendar for Friday 17 to Saturday 25 October 2025 so you don’t miss our wildly fun festival.

This autumn break, Festival De Betovering is nine days packed with: awesome theatre shows, unique visual art, explosive music, and fantastic workshops. The festival takes over The Hague, with more than 60 locations joining in.

What can you expect this year? 
Fold and build all week long on a crazy cool art installation by Collective Paper Aesthetics. Together with Zuiderparktheater and MuseumLab, we’re bringing this epic building project to our festival centre. Every building block you make becomes part of the final piece.

We’re presenting no less than three special co-productions this year. With Theaterschool Rabarber, Cat Smits Company, and eighteen kids from The Hague, we’re creating the opening show of the festival.
Izaline Calister and Thijs Borsten are making a Caribbean music performance – Bon Dia in the Jungle – for Theater De Vaillant and Festival De Betovering. And Poernima Gobardhan is going all out again with a full day of Indian dance at Amare.

With Betovering-outdoors, we’ll roam through the city for five days – and for the first time ever, we’re heading to Mariahoeve and Loosduinen too. We’ll keep you posted via our newsletter and socials.
