A minimum age is indicated for every activity at Festival De Betovering (for example, 7+). From that age, the organizers believe that a child can sufficiently understand and enjoy the performance or workshop.

This age is based on the average cognitive development of children, but of course, every child is unique. Therefore, we ask parents and guardians to assess for themselves whether a performance is suitable for their child, as long as the child is not younger than the stated minimum age.

For example: a 10-year-old child with the developmental level of a 3-year-old is very welcome at a 3+ performance, provided that the subject matter also aligns with their world of experience.

In this way, we hope that all children can enjoy the festival, regardless of any disability or developmental level.
