The Enchantment at Laaktheater in The Hague
Laaktheater is the theater in Laak where you can get acquainted with many forms of performing arts in various ways. The programming is created together with residents of Laak. Sometimes they walk in with an idea for a (professional) performance; sometimes they take the stage themselves with their own show or in one of the community arts projects, under the guidance of professional theater makers. Usually in the theater itself, sometimes on location in the neighborhood. The auditorium has an intimate atmosphere with its 141 seats, and there is also a large studio.
Laaktheater is easily accessible for audiences with reduced mobility. There are a few wheelchair spaces available for people using electric chairs or walkers. The theater does not have a fully equipped disabled toilet, but it does have a more spacious toilet located outside the regular restrooms. Hearing support is available upon request for people with hearing impairments. You can find more information about accessibility here.
