Workshop: How often do you discover your favorite color in Museum Bredius? 6+

Elsje Drewes | Museum Bredius
€8.50 pp.

Did your favorite color already exist 350 years ago? To find out, we are taking an exciting journey through time in the museum! After all, the artworks you see here are centuries old. Such a journey of discovery naturally takes time, because you don't truly learn to look in ten seconds.

During this active workshop, we compare our favorite things today with those from the 17th century. You will explore whether they are still exactly the same or have changed over the years.

You won't just be looking, but also smelling, tasting, discovering, and above all, doing it yourself! We explore the difference between a quick glance and really good detective work. When do you need to react lightning-fast, and when do you actually need slow motion to uncover a secret?

Museum Bredius is the former home of Abraham Bredius (1855-1946). He knew everything about famous painters such as Rembrandt and Jan Stee in a time without computers or the internet.
