Op-onder-over is an interactive dance performance in which children not only watch dance but also actively participate themselves. In this performance, traffic forms the basis for moving back and forth, up and down, under and over each other. Do we drive together? Pass each other? Or do we collide? Traffic is an important part of society. You could even say that it is society in miniature. You have rights and obligations, and rules and agreements apply. You take others into account without sacrificing yourself. The two dancers explore new forms, movements, and meanings of moving on, under, and over each other, using wooden toy cars as their main source of inspiration.
The performance includes a short post-show discussion and a brief workshop.
There is very little dialogue in the performance, making it accessible to non-native speakers as well.
Attendance at a performance is supervised: children and their parents or guardians purchase tickets.
