Sribi Switi

Two hip-hop dancers and a beatboxer take the children on a nighttime journey to the land of the imagination. Nothing is what it seems, but everything is beautiful and pleasant. During the journey, the children’s dreams come true; they end up in an imaginative world with different dance forms from hip-hop such as popping,

robotics, tutting and waving, complemented live with sounds and music from a beatboxer. Sribi Switi (Surinamese for ‘sleep well’) is a playful performance with a universal story, inspired by both well-known Surinamese and Dutch children’s stories and children’s songs. Visits to a performance are supervised: children and their parents or supervisors buy tickets.
