Japanese choreographer Makiko Ito is well known for her interactive shows made especially for the youngest visitors. She works with musicians and her own improvisation technique. The dancers and musicians move around, roll, slide, jump and surround you with sounds. They improvise in response to the movements and sounds made by the little audience members, creating a dialogue between the players and the youngsters. Every child is different - one may stay put with mum or dad and another may crawl right up onto the stage. Some of them even copy the dancers' movements. No two Makiko Ito performances are the same.
